Loved the large garden with a cute terrace, perfect for sipping on some tea while pretending to be fancy. , the free WiFi was a lifesaver for all my Instagramming needs.
Oh, and who needs a hairdryer or fluffy pillows anyway? Certainly not me, said no one ever!

I had a great value for my money at the hotel. The room was clean and well-equipped, and the location was perfect with windmills and a canal nearby. The staff at Gouden Karper were friendly and professional, making my stay enjoyable.
The morning meal could be improved with better timing and quicker service.

The location of this hotel was great, close to the countryside and with a lovely view. The food was also good, especially the Christmas dinner which had a nice variety of dishes. The room was cozy and comfortable.
The service at this hotel during the Christmas period left a lot to be desired. They seemed overwhelmed and unprepared for the number of guests.

The view of the sunrise over the canal was breathtaking. the food at the restaurant was delicious and the staff were welcoming.
The room was unbearable due to the abundance of mosquitos. We were constantly bitten and unable to sleep.

Review:
This hotel is a fair option for those looking for an affordable place to stay. the location is a positive aspect, with many tourist attractions nearby, a picturesque area, and a canal view. guests reported issues with cleaning, mosquitoes, and poor breakfast. It is advisable to bring insect repellents and own car. Nonetheless, the charm of the location and the friendliness of the staff may compensate in part for these problems.
